I had to go out and get a new company and buy equipment and its not my fault they had no techs available and that several people offered me to cancel at no cost b4. A contract they werent able to maintain due to being incompetent.Īfter several attempts to reach out to their office of the president the only route was twitter and manager Dhalia has been offering to lower the amount of the buyout from $949 to $371 but this is not right. I decide to keep calling and a manager by the name of AJ tells me everyone else in the past was wrong and they couldnt cancel the service unless I buyout the contract. After several calls everyone kept confirming the service was going to be cancelled and a docusign email was going to come in but never did. I asked the agent to cancel my service since they couldnt offer me any other appointment any time soon ( They wanted me to be without security in my house). After contacting them several times they finally admit the tech probably lied since I was sitting at home waiting for him. Technician never shows up but puts a note that he came home and nobody was there. After being advised several times there was no appointments available any time soon they finally offer me one for 11/16 AM. I am a Brinks Home customer who had active service at *** ** ***** *** ******** ***** FL, and I moved to a new Location on November 2022 and requested to move my services. Please see attached personal notes from communications with Brinks as you can see, they keep giving me the run around. The business is not openly trying to resolve this matter. These are predatory and unscrupulous tactics that a consumer should not be subjected to. They added the account to my credit report knowing they have not sent any cancellation documents and they were going to continue to charge. I have never had any sort of utility added to my credit report. It appears they are trying to violate my rights to cancel and force me to pay. Brinks added this account to my credit report showing as open and paid. Brinks continues to attempt to charge a monthly monitoring fee as of MAR 2023. I have never had equipment installed nor have I had service. When I call, they acknowledge the account shows as closed. Brinks has refunded $323.65 (JAN 2023) for cameras purchased and $65.75 (FEB 2023) for a wrongfully charged monthly monitoring fee which is an acknowledgement of my right to cancel. Company refuses to send cancellation documents. I am not going to pay for a service that I never received. The solution they are offering me is that they are going to honor the cancelation, but I have to pay a balance of $ 137 dollar. On March 21 and 22, 2023, I called to let brinks home security know that there is not any valid contract between us, I told them I had proof of the cancelation order. It is not fair that my credit will be ruined because of the greedy feelings of this company. I need the consumer affair department to interfere and help me to fix this case. They are trying to use a verbal phone extended contract done on Nov 1, 2022, which was invalid because they never installed new equipment. I have proof of the cancelation contract. Now Brinks is sending me to the collection. This contract is canceled because of their lack of professionalism and customer service. On Dec 12, 2022, Jan 1, 8, 9, 20, and 24 of 2023, I received attempted calls from Brinks which I didn't answer since the contract was canceled. The cancellation was effective on Nov 9th. I received a cancellation EDocusign for me to sign on November 9th. By November 8th, 2022 yet nobody showed up to replace the equipment, so since the contract was not complete from the contractor's side, I decided to call to cancel on November 8. When I asked Brink, they said $6.40 is to upgrade and maintain their systems, but why would I need to pay for their upgrades? That is why we pay monthly monitoring charges.Įxtended contract with the condition of replacement with new equipment. ******* *******, ***, and ***** ***** they all charge only a flat fee each month for the monitoring. Under the contract, my monthly cost should be frozen, but Brink secretly adding a $6.40 fee each month and they say that fee can keep changing any time which makes monthly payment unpredictable and no alarm monitoring companies charge hidden fees like Brinks. But slowly they started adding $3, then $5 and now $6.40 as cost recovery fee each month in addition to $24.99 which ******* ******* never had and besides I am still in a contract until. But when Brinks took over ******* *******, my account came to Brinks and they changed few things to work on my panel and my monthly cost was $24.99 per month. I was a ******* ******* customer paying $19.99 per month for my alarm monitoring for more than 5 years with a flat monthly fee with no secret or hidden costs.
